Various Artist: Emotional Lorax

I hope if you're a reader of this blog you're potentially already in the 'emo archive' discord. The owner of the discord organized a pretty hefty compilation of various stuff that members have discovered over the past few months. I haven't been able to listen to the entire thing, but this discord doesn't fuck around when it comes to music discovery. Some of this is very, very obscure, and super cool. I only suggested one track for it (Hint - Stay Alone... lmao). I don't think the compilation is 100% pure skramz, but, you'll enjoy it anyway for sure.

Go download and listen!

Fortiori

Lazy post for an awesome band I found on this YouTube. Just getting you the download links. Really good.

Self Titled

Bor

Found this through a friend of the blog. Really sick. 90s, kind of riot grrl / emo mix.

Bor 7inch

Hospital Haunts

This was previously on my youtube, but downloads were not available.

Morgellons

Major props to the youtuber above, this is pretty good. The only info I have from this band is what I can glean from the youtube above. Active 2009, and from Fresno, CA. Instrumentals on this are pretty amazing, along with dual shouting vocals. Overall, one of the better things I've heard in a bit. I'll see if the youtuber has any more info on them.

The Sound of Type

Midnight Drive

Found here on this Reddit thread. From Reston, VA Circa 2002. Now you know just as much as I do. There may be some connection to The Catalyst Really from googling, but I can't find anything else. Sick stuff here. Lots and lots of melodic breakdowns, inbetween your usual emo/metal material. Vocals alternate between quite high to almost raspy like vincent black shadow. It feels pretty well produced metal-tinged stuff. No idea on the popularity level being so low.
