The Spitz

This is an interesting one. I originally found out about this band through the compilation "Building Records Presents 60 Songs." When originally ripping the CD many moons ago, the band name came out as "ใ‚นใƒ”ใƒƒใƒ„" which is a 90's Japanese rock band. This confused me for a long time leading me to never tracking down anything else by them. I put a bit more effort recently into looking for them and managed to track down the correct band.

Active sometime around 2003 (when this album was released) and coming from Sydney, Australia. The beginning of the album leads you to believe that it's some sort of sassy/snotty punk band with power violence elements. Further, into the album, things go in much more of an emo/screamo type direction. The female vocals move between punk vocals, to 90's emo and Ache Hour Credo type singing, to emo/screamo vocals. It's interesting, goes pretty hard. Definitely check it out.

Update:

Came across this Bandcamp which has a lot of really cool Australian stuff including this band. Check it out and consider buying some stuff to support them
