I don't typically post bandcamps on here, but this is some long lost band from the DuPage County Hardcore bandcamp page that I came across. I can't seem to find any information on them. Not even sure the era, sounds kinda 90's though. Definitely fits on this blog. Anyone have any info? I need to get in contact with whoever owns that bandcamp...

Monseraat

I found this photo on their myspace, seems pretty indepth as to who they are. Don't really have much to add. The sound similarities is fairly apt, sounds pretty typical for early 00's emo. This is an album I found, I think they have a demo too but no idea on where that is. The album is actually quite high quality, not amazingly memorable, but not bad. Check it out.

She's Hit!

Okay, so this is an interesting one. It's a short lived band that came after Saetia with members Matt Smith, Greg Drudy, and Billy Werner in it along with vocalist of Orchid Jay Green on guitar and Paul Granger. I think they must have been quite short lived, as information about them is very sparse. In truth I've never seen these recordings before other than when I downloaded them many years ago. Should have posted this earlier, as I bet people would be curious to hear it.

Anyway, one might suspect with this being such a super group that this would be some awesome stuff. The three songs that I have are pretty rough recordings which almost sound live, but I'm suspecting that they are not. The sound is sadly pretty unremarkable, and not anywhere near the other bands. I'm thinking kind of a more generic early era Hot Cross. It's a cool little artifact though, so check it out. If you have any info, please share as well.

Werewolf Casey

I found these guys due to their connection with Recovery Period. I don't really have anything other than stuff I ripped off their myspace. There's actually a whole bunch of bands part of this scene that I'd like to post.

Anyway these guys are from Mississippi, and active late 2000s. They're definitely math influenced with pretty well done instrumentals. I honestly don't think there's much more out there than this myspace stuff. So it's now here for the impending day when myspace goes under. I don't really have any other information on them other than that.

Dialogues

Dialogues was an indie/screamo band from Harrisonburg Virginia. They started off as a spazzy band; keyboard, bass, drums, dual vocals by drunks trying to be sassy. They never even practiced before their first show really. They recorded nothing. That didn't last long because the alcohol took effect. They then reformed soberly and changed things up a bit; lost the keyboards, the drunkest singer ever, and added two guitars. Then they became a truly amazing band. The line up changed here and there as they ruled. They released some self released cds, and a split 7" on Rome Plow Records with Kids Explode. They broke up in the spring of 2006. Members of Dialogues play in other projects, such as Order (of the dying orchid), Bantam Draper, American Tourist, North, Hi Ho Six Shooter and Savage Land. Ex-members of Sing! Sing! Prison, and Octegenarian.

Pretty decent description from Last.fm, don't really have too much to add there.. I have here their demo, and the split with Kids Explode, not sure about those self released cds. The vocalist has a pretty interesting shouting style of singing, kind of reminds me of some more modern day stuff. It's all actually pretty good, recommend.  I might post Order (of the dying orchid) at some point as well, as I have stuff by them.

Emergency Numbers

Emergency Numbers was a screamo/post-hardcore band that was formed in Miami, FL, December of '05. The band originally comprised of Alex Diaz (Guitar/Vox), Jose Guerrero (Guitar), Eric Rodriguez (Bass), and Kenny Cortina (Drums). The band made four songs together and played a few shows before members changed. In November of '07 the band went on hiatus, while Alex was playing in a side project called Currents and Eric played in a side project called Tony Rome (later known as Homestretch). Currents didn't play many shows and Eric left Jan '07. Emergency Numbers now comprised of 3 of the original members. Kenny left the band due to time discrepancies in March '07. Alex and Jose began to talk to Mario Fabregas (Currents - Drums) and Tommy Skandalis (Currents - Guitar) in possibly starting Emergency Numbers anew. They then formed in March '07 with Jose now on Bass and rewrote 2 original Emergency Numbers songs and 2 original Currents songs. They recorded a 6 song ep in May '07 that has yet to be mastered. The brand new Emergency Numbers disbanded in September '07. Currently, Alex is getting the ep mastered and ready for distribution. He is not playing in any bands in the moment, but is constantly writing. Jose, Eric, and Tommy are currently not in any bands at the moment. Kenny is currently playing drums for the Miami based pop punk band, Zack Attacks The World. And Mario is currently playing drums for the Miami based hardcore band, Tough Break.

There's a pretty good summary from their Last.fm. It's pretty heartfelt skram style stuff, definitely very similar to a lot of other mid 00s Florida bands. The lead singer kind of reminds me of the singer from I Wrote Haikus. This is just some 3 song demo thing that I found + some myspace rips, no idea on that 6 song demo mentioned in the summary. It's not totally awful, check it out.

Shoot Bang Dead

Active 2003-2004 and from Milwaukee, WI. I can't really get much information about them. It's kind of spazzy synth style stuff that I think kind of came before a lot of the scene core bands of the mid 00's. Not as totally lame as a lot of those bands though and still sounds like stuff posted on this blog. I have some collected songs here + songs that I ripped off their mypsace. They sound kinda similar to a lot of those Australian bands like Love Like Electrocution or something, check it if you're curious.
